TEST METHOD AND FACILITY INFORMATION
1. Noise Reduction Coefficient (NRC) is tested in specific conformance to the requirements of the
ASTM C423-09a, ?Standard Test Method for Sound Absorption and Sound Absorption
Coefficients by the Reverberation Method? using E-400 sample mounting method. The test
facility is located at USG Corporate Innovation Center (700 N Highway 45, Libertyville, IL 60048,
USA), accredited by the U.S. Department of Commerce, National Institute of Standards and
Technology-National Voluntary Laboratory accreditation program for selected test methods in
acoustics including the above-mentioned test.
2. Ceiling Attenuation Class (CAC) is tested in specific conformance to the requirements of the
ASTM E1414-06, ?Standard Test Method for Airborne Sound Attenuation between Rooms
Sharing a Common Ceiling Plenum?. CAC class is obtained per ASTM E413-04. The test facility is
located at USG Corporate Innovation Center (700 N Highway 45, Libertyville, IL 60048, USA),
